 People bail out over disappointment about Donbas and Russia, - Chechen quit "DPR" to fight for Ukraine

A man, moving from the territory of the "Donetsk People's Republic," was stopped yesterday at the Maiorsk checkpoint.


According to him, there are a lot of fighters who abandon the ranks of terrorist in the Donbas. He also said militants are preparing for defense.

The 37-year-old man had the internal Russian passport with him. The native of Chechnya said he wished to join a Ukrainian volunteer battalion.

However, the border guards found out the man had previously taken part in hostilities in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions alongside Russian-terrorist forces.

Subsequently, he grew completely disappointed about the actions of terrorists and deserted at the first opportunity after another conflict with their leaders. He added he was not the only one reluctant to serve in the ranks of militants.
