 Russia deploys anti-aircraft missile battalion in Donbas as threat of air terrorism grows

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence reports the deployment of Russian anti-aircraft missile battalion in the occupied territory of the Donbas.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainski Novyny, this was announced by Defense Intelligence representative Vadym Skibitskyi.

"This battalion received training in the Rostov region. The servicemen have cover documents and stories of their stay in Ukraine. This practice has been employed since the beginning of Russia's armed aggression," he said.

According to him, the battalion is comprised of 168 people, 21 pieces of equipment and 30 vehicles.

"We see it [the deployment - ed.] as a growing threat of air terrorism," Skibitskyi stressed.

He noted the battalion has state-of-the-art air defense systems.

As reported, Russian reconnaissance aircraft Il-20 was registered over the Sea of Azov Aug. 8-10.
