Head of the State Border Guard Service Viktor Nazarenko told Interfax Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
The Russians tested laser weapons on our troops. As a result, three military personnel of the State Border Guard Service got retina burns of the eyes. We are in a very difficult situation right now: we were able to restore only their peripheral vision, not the direct one," he said.
"It happened on Marinka checkpoint when Ukrainian borer guards were watching with binoculars and a monocle. The Russians used a special laser device banned by the Convention (the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons from 1980 - Ed.)," he added.
