The militants opened fire at the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces for 61 times yesterday, particularly, from weapons banned by the Minsk agreements. The Mariupol sector remained the hottest spot, where more than a half of all the cases of shelling were recorded. 16 more cases were reported in the Donetsk sector and 14 more in the Luhansk sector.
In the Mariupol sector, Vodiane, Hnutove, Starohnativka, Shyrokyne, and Novohryhorivka were fired from grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. Krasnohorivka and Marinka were mortared. Russian mercenaries used infantry fighting vehicles all along the Shyrokyne-Marinka frontline. Snipers worked in the area as well. Fire from anti-aircraft guns was reported at Marinka.
In the Donetsk sector, Nevelske, Maiorsk, and Avdiivka were shelled with 82-mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns, and grenade launchers. The militants fired from grenade launchers in Zaitseve and from a machine gun in Novoselivka Druha. In Luhanske, they used grenade launchers, machine guns, and IFV weapons. Infantry fighting vehicles were also active in Maiorsk. A sniper was spotted in Avdiivka.
In the Luhansk sector, the terrorists violated the Minsk agreements as they fired from heavy artillery and 120-mm mortars at Novooleksandrivka. Strongholds at Novozvanivka, Stanytsia Luhanska, and Zhovte were fired from heavy artillery and 120-mm mortars. Lopaskyne and Staryi Aidar came under grenade launcher fire, while Krymske was fired from large-caliber machine guns. The militants fired from IFV guns near Staryi Aidar.
The terrorists conducted active aerial reconnaissance. Seven drones were spotted over the ATO forces' positions.
