 22 attacks recorded over day. Vodiane hit with 70 heavy artillery shells, - ATO press center

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, pro-Russian militants committed 22 attacks on anti-terrorist operation (ATO) troops, with the Mariupol direction being the hottest.

Censor.NET reports referring to ATO press center.

"At the Mariupol direction, militants used 122-mm artillery against Ukrainian strong points outside Vodiane two times. During the attacks, militants fired 70 rounds.

"ATO forces' positions in the vicinity of Novooleksandrivka, Novozvanivka and Hnutove were hit with grenade launchers, while Novotroitske came under anti-aircraft gun fire. In addition, Talakivka was struck with mortars.

"At Donetsk direction, Russian proxies employed 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to attack Ukrainian troops' positions near Avdiivka.

"Moreover, militants fired 82-mm mortars on our soldiers outside Nevelske and used grenade launchers near Novoselivka Druha.

"In the Luhansk region, militants employed heavy machine guns in Popasna. Ukrainian army positions in the vicinity of Novooleksandrivka, Novozvanivka and Zolote came under grenade launcher fire," the evening report notes.
