Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the embassy.
"ATTENTION!!! Dear Ukrainians! The Embassy of Ukraine to Syria urges you to leave the area of combat operations as soon as possible in connection with the ongoing aggravation of the security situation in the city of Aleppo," the statement reads.
It is noted that the Ukrainian Embassy in Syria and the Honorary Consulate General of Ukraine in Aleppo organize the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Aleppo to Ukraine via Damascus and Beirut.
As previously reported, on Wednesday, Aug. 3, the Syrian government forces backed by the Russian aviation recaptured the territory of Aleppo previously seized by the Syrian rebels. Thus, the opposition forces have lost their advances they made over several days of the offensive launched on Sunday in attempt to break the siege of President Bashar Assad's forces.
