 Militants committed 20 attacks as enemy armored vehicles spotted near Shyrokyne, - ATO press center

The situation in the area of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) remains tense. Over the day, Russian troops and terrorist forces have committed 20 attacks on Ukrainian army positions.

"In the Donetsk region, Luhanske came under Minsk-banned 122-mm artillery fire.

"Defenders of Avdiivka and Verkhniotoretske were hit with 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns, while RPGs and automatic grenade launchers were used against our strong points in Zaitseve.

"Ukrainian servicemen in Krasnohorivka were struck with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars three times.

"Terrorists used grenade launchers in Novotroitske and Shyrokyne, heavy machine guns in Hnutove and Marinka. Moreover, enemy armored vehicles were spotted in the vicinity of Shyrokyne.

"In the Luhansk region, the situation was restless outside Novooleksandrivka where militants employed 82-mm and 120-mm mortars. Popasna came under small arms fire," the evening report notes.
