 Occupants near Chonhar crossing point ban people and cars from entering and leaving Crimea , - State Border Guard Service

The Russian occupants in Crimea banned people and vehicles from crossing Ukraine-controlled Chonhar checkpoint in both directions without explanation today, Aug. 9.

As reported by Censor.NET, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodian wrote on Facebook.

"The invaders banned people and vehicles from crossing Chonhar entry/exit point in both directions without explanation at 10:40 a.m.," he wrote.

According to Slobodian, representatives of the Russian Federation grant entry to those traveling to the peninsula only near Chaplynka crossing point, letting no one from Crimea to mainland Ukraine.

As the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service reported earlier, the occupying forces continued blocking Kalanchak crossing point at the administrative border with Crimea, with entry to the occupied Crimea being granted only at Chaplynka crossing point.
