Spokesperson for PGO Larysa Sarhan wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"It is known that the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine conducts pretrial investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated into involvement of high-ranking state and law enforcement officials in illegal hampering of meetings and rallies in Kyiv between Jan. 20 and Feb. 21, 2014, slaughter of citizens, and other crimes aimed at unlawful crackdown of protests. The mentioned criminal case was launched into acts constituting offences under part 3 of article 27, part 3 of article 365, paragraphs 1, 5, and 12 of part 2 of article 115, article 340 and other of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," she wrote.
"The PGO investigators have summoned as witnesses many politicians and officials who may provide the investigation with important details of the events on the Euromaidan. This information will play important role in the investigation of the criminal case and establishment of the truth," Sarhan added.
"In August, the Special Investigations Department of the Prosecutor General's Office will be attended by Petro Poroshenko, Arsenii Yatseniuk, Oleksandr Turchynov, Vitalii Klitshchko, Andrii Parubii and other witnesses of the events," the spokesperson clarified.
