 PGO seized papers in raid at NABU, prosecutor general’s spokesperson says

The members of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) seized papers in a raid they conducted in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

As reported by Censor.NET, spokesperson for Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko Larysa Sarhan wrote on Facebook.

According to her, the PGO is investigating NABU officers' illegal eavesdropping of phone conversations of a defendant in a NABU-investigated case.

"The Prosecutor General's Office seized documents allowing to establish the perpetrators. The necessary investigative activities are underway," Sarhan wrote.

The NABU previously reported that no actions aimed at the seizure of papers or searching the offices of employees or other premises of the Bureau were made by the members of the Prosecutor General's Office as at 2 p.m. Aug. 5.

Earlier, 112 Ukraine TV channel reported quoting SAP Head Nazar Kholodnytskyi as saying that the PGO was searching the premises of NABU.
