 Putin dismisses Zurabov from post of Trade Commissioner to Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed Mikhail Zurabov from the post of the Trade Commissioner to Ukraine.

The corresponding decree was published on the official Russian legal portal, Censor.NET reports.

"I hereby resolve to consider invalid the decree 'On the Special Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation for Trade to Ukraine'," the statement reads.

As reported, Mikhail Zurabov was dismissed from the post of the Russian ambassador to Ukraine which he had held for more than six years.

Sergei Toropov, who worked in the Russian embassy in Latvia in 2008, was appointed Russia's chargé d'affaires in Ukraine.
