 Russia might launch offensive in Svitlodarsk salient area between Aug. 4-8 , - Ukraine's Intelligence

Ukrainian intelligence has recorded signs of the enemy's preparation to combat activities at Donetsk and Sloviansk directions (Svitlodarsk salient area).

This was announced by the press service of the Main Intelligence Department of Ukraine's Defense Ministry, Censor.NET reports.

"There is a risk of active offensive or raiding activities [by the enemy - ed.] between Aug. 4 and 8, with the purpose of increasing territories it controls," the message reads.

Over the past day, the enemy continued shelling Ukrainian units with Minsk-banned 82-mm and 120-mm mortars, as well as 122-mm artillery systems. Due to the meeting of the Trilateral contact group on settlement of the situation in Ukraine and OSCE SMM's monitoring in certain areas of the contact line, the enemy has decreased the intensity of its activities during daytime.

The enemy continues conducting intelligence of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces of Ukraine.

An ingress of a recon group of the enemy from the 9th separate assault marines regiment (Novoazovsk) of the 1st army corps of Russian armed forces has been recorded. Ingresses of recon and sabotage groups are planned in the following areas: Maiorsk, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Opytne, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Marinka.
