As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in a report as at 6 a.m. Aug. 4, posted on Facebook.
According to the Staff, militants committed 38 attacks on Ukrainian positions over the past day. At 2 a.m., the enemy resumed attacks on the residential areas of settlements in the vicinity of Donetsk.
As reported, 21 attacks were recorded at the Donetsk direction: "Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka and Maiorsk repeatedly came under 120-mm and 82-mm mortar and grenade launcher fire. In Zaitseve, violating the Minsk agreements, terrorists employed prohibited 122-mm artillery twice. In Nevelske and Troitske, the enemy delivered heavy machine gun, grenade launcher and small arms fire. Additionally, an IFV was used in Novhorodske. Anti-aircraft gun and sniper fire was registered outside Avdiivka."
"At Mariupol direction, the situation was strained in two areas: Krasnohorivka-Marinka and Hnutove-Shyrokyne. Here, the enemy actively used mortars and machine-guns against Ukrainian strong points. Moreover, militants employed heavy artillery in Shyrokyne and an IFV in Marinka. In Krasnohorivka and Hranitne, sniper activity was registered," the report reads.
No attacks were registered in the Luhansk region over the past day.
As previously reported, Russian occupation forces committed 71 attacks on Ukrainian positions on Aug. 2.
