Ukraine's Foreign Ministry condemns unauthorized visit of French parliamentarians to occupied Crimea

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns the trip of a group of French parliamentarians to the Russian-occupied Crimea.

Censor.NET reports citing the Foreign Ministry press service.

"Despite numerous warnings from the Ukrainian side, French politicians demonstrably violated Ukrainian legislation and international law, and ignored the official position of their own state which is firm in its stance to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

"We regard these actions as a manifestation of conscious political support of the Russian aggression against Ukraine as well as acceptance of the Kremlin's policy of suppression of human rights in the occupied peninsula," the statement reads.

The Foreign Ministry called on all foreign nationals to strictly adhere to Ukrainian laws and warned about responsibility for possible violations, including a ban on entering the territory of Ukraine.
