Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug said at the briefing, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainski Novyny.
According to him, the SMM observers were verifying the information on the shelling and analyzing craters in Krasnohorivka on Tuesday (July 26). They found a 120-mm tank shell in the school No. 1 that pierced the 60-centimeter-thick southern wall on the first floor of the school building.
The OSCE official stressed that there were many cases of violence and terror over the past two years but an attack on a place where children study was too much.
Hug stressed that pupils would resume studying at schools in September and they would require textbooks and education rather than tanks and destruction.
