As reported by Censor.NET, the president wrote it on his Facebook page.
"Special Operation Forces are the honor of Ukraine's Armed Forces. Greetings to the soldiers!" Poroshenko wrote.
Later, presidential website posted a greeting to SOF military. In it, Poroshenko noted that this SOF holiday had been established with the purpose of celebrating important merits of Special Operation Forces' units in fight for Ukraine's territorial integrity and independence.
"Your faces are always behind the lenses and cameras, but our Ukrainian people know that in the military aggression against our country you conduct your tasks honestly and selflessly, risking your lives. I am certain that high levels of psychological, physical, and combat training, combination of experience and youthful zeal will help you solving tasks of defending your Motherland in any conditions," Poroshenko's press service quoted the president.
"We will always remember every soldier of the Special Operation Forces who died for Ukraine's independence," Poroshenko noted.
The president also wished SOF soldiers and their families health, peace, happiness and harmony.
"Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Spetsnaz soldiers!" the president summed up.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Law No. 4795 "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine regarding the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.
The law defines the legal status and the use of Special Operations Forces in special operations independently or in conjunction with other branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to create favorable conditions for the success of the military, political, economic and other activities in the interests of national security in the field of national defense.
