 Ukrainian soldiers repulse attack of subversive group trying to capture strong points in Marinka, - Staff

The Russian occupation troops assaulted the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces’ detachments 56 times over the past 24-hour period.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO Staff press center as at 6 a.m. July 29.

According to the Staff, 33 attacks were recorded at the Donetsk, 21 at the Mariupol, and two at the Luhansk section of the front.

It is noted that the enemy repeatedly fired at the Avdiivka defenders at the Donetsk section of the front with 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, anti-aircraft guns, high-caliber machine guns, and small arms. Besides, the invaders employed 82-mm mortars in Troitske and Maiorsk, grenade launchers in Zaitseve and Novhorodske, and large-caliber machine guns near Luhanske.

"Up to 30 strong enemy subversive and reconnaissance group tried to capture our strongholds in Marinka at the Mariupol section of the front using grenade launchers and small arms yesterday around 9 p.m. Ukrainian soldiers opened fire and forced the enemy to retreat. Our soldiers sustained no casualties.

"Russian occupants also fired at the ATO forces' fortifications in Marinka, Vodiane, and Krasnohorivka with 82-mm mortars, employed grenade launchers against Ukrainian soldiers near Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Hnutove, as well as large-caliber machine guns in Starohnativka and Lebedynske," the update reads.

It was also reported that the enemy shelled Lopaskyne in the Luhansk region with grenade launchers.

Earlier, the enemy committed 44 attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine July 27.
