Hroisman: "Anomalous activity" registered in procurement as public authorities face mandatory switch to ProZorro

Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman notes that public authorities demonstrate unusual activity in procurement on the eve of transition to the ProZorro public e-procurement system, intended to replace old paper tenders.

Censor.NET reports referring to Hroisman's Facebook.

"Starting from Aug. 1, all public purchases will be made via the ProZorro public e-procurement system. In his report on the state of preparations for the transition, Max Nefyodov [deputy minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine - ed.] says public authorities have shown an anomalous activity in procurement in the last four days, with the total sum of invited tenders exceeding 20 billion hryvnia (approx. $800.573 million).

"Yesterday, I recommended all those authorities to immediately cancel all tenders and switch to the ProZorro system before it's too late.

"The anti-corruption agencies, the Ministry of Justice, the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade are well capable of analyzing each of the invited tenders!

"I am grateful to the entire team of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and ProZorro for its effective work. Today, we do see good signals in the fight against corruption in Ukraine," the prime minister wrote.
