"This is not a speculation or assumption but documentary evidence that was found by Myrotvorets project volunteers in the mailbox of Russian terrorist Maria Koleda, who led the "Donetsk People's Republic" press service.
"They found a letter on behalf of the former so-called "DPR Prime Minister," Russian citizen Alexander Boroday addressed to Bishop Panteleimon of Orekhovo-Zuyevo with a request for assistance to Russian militants participating in fighting in the Donbas," Herashchenko stressed.
"The letter plainly reads that more than 50,000 Russian citizens fought against Ukraine.
"I think this figure is close to reality, and I recommend historians, human rights activists and journalists using it in their work," the MP went on.
"The correspondence between Russian spies and their collaborators in the separatist enclaves "DPR" and "LPR", revealed by Myrotvorets project volunteers, is valuable information for Ukrainian and foreign intelligence services, which will be sooner or later used as evidence in trials," he added.
"At present, the Myrotvorets database contains information about 18,200 Russian citizens who participated in the war against Ukraine.
"However, there is still a lot of work to do until we trace the last criminal who came here to rob, kill and rape," Herashchenko summed up.
