 "DPR" informant sentenced to eight years in prison in Donetsk region

The Toretsk city court of the Donetsk region has sentenced an informant of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic" to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.

Censor.NET reports referring to the Donetsk region prosecutor's office press service.

"The Toretsk city court of the Donetsk region has found a 47-year-old resident of Toretsk guilty of committing a criminal offense under part 1, article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (participation in a terrorist group/organization).

"It has been established that in April-May 2015, the convict collaborated with "DPR" terrorists on his own initiative.

"The man, using his mobile phone, communicated detailed information about the positions of Ukrainian troops, hardware and other military units involved in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Toretsk, the Donetsk region and its surroundings, via the so-called "hotline of the DPR's State Security Ministry," the statement notes.

The court has upheld the prosecutor's motion and sentenced the accomplice of militants to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.
