 Ukrainian soldiers repulsed three militants’ attacks yesterday, enemy suffered heavy losses, - Staff

The Russian occupation troops assaulted the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces 61 times over the past 24 hours.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO Staff press center as at 6 a.m. July 26.

According to the Staff, 29 of 61 attacks were recorded at the Mariupol, 27 at the Donetskб and five at the Luhansk section of the front.

"The enemy employed 122-mm cannons and 120-mm mortars near Talakivka at the Mariupol section of the front. The use of 120-mm mortars was recorded near Vodiane and Krasnohorivka.

"An enemy subversive and reconnaissance group tried to seize our strong points in Marinka twice. About 30 invaders covered by the accurate fire approached our troops' position at 7:07 p.m. The Ukrainian defenders employed grenade launchers and small arms in response. The enemy suffered losses and retreated. The Russian occupation forces committed another attempt to insidiously attack the ATO forces' stronghold on the outskirts of Marinka later, at 7:20 p.m. It also ended in disappointment for them.

"In addition, the enemy employed 82-mm mortars, weapons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, high-caliber machine guns in Azov region," the statement reads.

The Staff noted that the situation in Avdiivka at the Donetsk section of the front was tense as the enemy fired at the Ukrainian defenders deployed there with 122-mm self-propelled guns, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms.

"Up to eight strong enemy subversive and reconnaissance group tried to storm our observation post in Avdiivka yesterday around 5:10 p.m. Our soldiers engaged in battle with the subversives, caused losses and forced them to retreat."

It is also reported that the enemy used 120-mm mortars in the vicinity of Troitske, 82-mm mortars in Opytne and Nevelske, and grenade launchers in Novhorodske and Luhanske villages.

"The enemy used various types of weapons to assault our fortifications in Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Novozvanivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Lopaskyne in the Luhansk region," the ATO Staff press center reported.
