Moscow Patriarchate's sacred procession egged outside Boryspil

The participants of the sacred procession of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) got egged at Boryspil's outlet belt.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Sehodnia, those protesting against the procession started throwing eggs at the believers as soon as they appeared on the road. National guards tried to prevent collisions and pushed aggressively minded activists back.

Meanwhile, the participants of the procession continued to pray, closing icons so that they were not damaged.

In turn, Oleksii Hrytsenko, a civic activist, wrote on Facebook that the procession decided not to go to Boryspil and turned toward Brovary.

"Unfortunately, those who tried to stop the procession are dumb-bells. Pelting eggs at icons is a complete stupidity. Mykola Kokhanіvskyi, was it your initiative? What did you want?" he wrote.

As previously reported, the so-called "sacred procession for peace" started in the east of the country from the Sviatohorsk Monastery on July 3, and in the west of the country from the Pochaiv Monastery on July 9. The participants in both processions will meet in Kyiv at St. Volodymyr Hill and walk together to the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, where a ceremonial service will be held on July 27, the eve of the celebration of Christianization of Rus-Ukraine.
