 House of fallen hero Oleksandr Shvets robbed during his funeral, - head of Lviv Regional State Administration

During the funeral of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) soldier Oleksandr Shvets, unknown perpetrators robbed his family's house.

As Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN, head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleh Syniutka announced.

"It is a tragedy when our soldiers die. But some things go beyond the limits of common sense and humanity. During the funeral of the fallen hero Oleksandr Shvets, an ATO warrior from Zolochiv town, some perpetrators robbed the house of his family. True scum. Sorry, but I cannot find a different name for him. To their credit, the law enforcement officers worked quickly: the first perpetrator has been apprehended," he wrote.

58-year-old Shvets, born in Zolochiv in the Lviv region, was a volunteer soldier. He served in the 53d Mechanized Brigade and died in terrorists' shelling between Zaitseve and Maiorsk (the Donetsk region). Together with him, four soldiers were killed and three wounded.

The burial service for Shvets was held in the Lviv garrison church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul on July 22. He was buried with military honors on the field of honor graves of the Lychakiv cemetery in Lviv. The man is survived by three grown-up children.
