Terrorists continue attacks on Stanytsia Luhanska, the Luhansk region, for three nights in a row. Today, an enemy sniper delivered fire against the settlement.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine, this was announced by Luhansk Operations-Tactical Command press officer Serhii Berets.

"The situation remains stable and controlled by the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Over the past day, Russian occupation forces committed 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions [at the Luhansk direction - ed.]. All the attacks were carried out in the dark hours, except for two cases in the afternoon.

"The enemy, using 82-mm mortars and various types of grenade launchers, shelled Ukrainian strong points in the area of Novozvanivka and Troitske in the direction of Kalynove and Kalynove-Borshchuvate. As night fell, terrorists delivered fire on our troops in the vicinity of Novooleksandrivka, Bohuslavske, and Popasna from the direction of Molodizhne, using 82-mm mortars, various types of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

"For three nights in a row, militants have delivered fire on Stanytsia Luhanska in the direction of Prince Ihor Hills and the pedestrian bridge... Besides, the settlement came under sniper attack today," he said.

At that, Berets stressed that militants deliberately provoke Ukrainian soldiers near Stanytsia Luhanska to make them close the checkpoint.

"Militants are trying to provoke our troops and do everything in order for the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint to get closed, which would entail inconvenience to civilians," he said.

According to Berets, no military casualties have been reported at the Luhansk direction over the past day.
