 Kyiv to see military parade on occasion of 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independence

President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on holding a military parade on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.

Censor.NET reports citing the presidential press service.

According to the decree, a military parade will be held on Aug. 24 on Khreshchatyk Street and Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti) in Kyiv. Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak has been tasked to carry out necessary preparations and hold the event.

The president has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to provide financing and implementation within the authority of other activities related to the preparation and holding of the parade, and the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine to provide coverage of the event.
