Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The statement reads: "July 18, 2016, investigating judge of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv granted petition of the Main Investigation Department supported by the Department of procedural monitoring over the criminal cases inquired by the investigators of the central office to impose pretrial confinement against first deputy chairman of the State Employment Service of Ukraine, suspected of committing a crime sanctioned under Part 4 of the Article 368 of the Criminal Code.
"The bail in the amount of 1,387,000 hryvnia was also determined by the mentioned court ruling.
"Besides, the official was removed from office," the PGO noted.
Earlier, First Deputy Head of the State Employment Service of Ukraine Mykhailo Bardonov was detained while receiving a regular part of a bribe in the amount of 100,000 hryvnia (about $4,000) at 1:20 a.m. July 16 during a special operation carried out by operatives of the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine in conjunction with the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Reference: punishment provided under Part 4 of the Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine includes imprisonment for a term of 8 to 12 years with confiscation of property and suspension of right to hold certain posts or be engaged in certain activities for up to three years.
