 Court arrests two attackers of cash-in-transit van in Zaporizhia region

Ordzhonikidze district court in Zaporizhia imposed pretrial confinement against members of the crime ring involved in attacks on cash-in-transit vans.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Zaporizhia region prosecutor's office.

"The petition of Zaporizhia region prosecutor's office to define pretrial restriction for two suspects under Clause 1, 6, 12 of Part 3 of the Article 15, Part 2 of the Article 115, Part 4 of the Article 187, Part 1 of the Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been granted in full. According to the decisions of the Ordzhonikidze district court of Zaporizhia of July 17, 2016 and July 18, 2016, a two-month pretrial confinement without a right to post bail has been imposed against them," the statement reads.

Earlier, unknown persons armed with firearms (pistol, machine gun, grenades) committed attack on an Oshchadbank cash-in-transit van on the Polohy-Orikhiv highway in the Zaporizhia region at around 5 p.m. July 15, 2016. One of the attackers was killed and two more were wounded thanks to the joint actions of the SBU and the National Police.
