 Anomalous heat and fires trigger mine-explosive devices near demarcation line, - Luhansk Military and Civil Administartion

The Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint will be closed for the time being.

Censor.NET reports citing the Luhansk Military and Civil Administration press service.

"The Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint will be closed for a certain period. Abnormally hot weather has recently set in in the Luhansk region. A fire occurred in the Stanytsia Luhanska district due to the high temperature, triggering mine-explosive devices planted near the contact line.

"There is a real threat to the life and health of people. Therefore, a decision was taken to temporarily close the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint at 2:30 p.m., July 18, 2016 until the fire-fighting is over and the state of emergency is lifted," the report notes.
