As reported by Censor.NET citing the SBU press center, during July-October 2015, three residents of Mykolaiv repeatedly installed banners of Novorosiia in the city, restricting access to them by fake tripwires and explosive devices. The malefactors profaned state symbols of Ukraine with swastika and distributed leaflets of separatist content.
The SBU detained the separatists on Oct. 14 last year, when they attempted to carry out yet another act of propaganda. Two grenades (F-1 and RGD-5), anti-Ukrainian printed matter, and other evidence of illegal activity were found during searches of their apartments.
The court found the malefactors guilty of committing crimes under part 2, article 110 and part 1, article 338 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Actions of two of them also fall under part 1, article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has sentenced them to five years in prison with a probation period of three years.
