 British Dowty Propellers start supplying components for new Ukrainian An-132 aircraft

The British company started supplying its propellers to Ukrainian Antonov SE for its new An-132 demonstrator aircraft.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of Ukroboronprom state concern.

The twin-engine An-132D will be equipped by Dowty R408 propellers, widely used around the world.

It is noted that Dowty Propellers will provide support to the An-132D project. The company will also train Antonov SE staff.

Antonov SE, which is a part of Ukroboronprom state concern, is developing AN-132 multipurpose transport aircraft together with its partner from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using experience and components of the world leaders in the field of aviation. An-132 is expected to take its rightful place in the market while the construction of the demonstrator aircraft is the first step on this path.

Earlier, Antonov SE and Taqnia Aeronautics Co. signed an agreement on cooperation to start production of AN-132 in Saudi Arabia.

An-132 will be developed by Antonov State Enterprise with the participation of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia). Multi-purpose aircraft will be equipped with Canadian Pratt & Whitney PW150A turboprop engines, widely used around the world together with Dowty R408 propellers.
