Deputy Minister of Justice Natalia Sevostianova wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"The UN Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment has decided to re-visit Ukraine, given the assurances received from Ukraine's government. The visit is scheduled for Sept. 5-9. Now, we are to prepare the staff of all authorities that will be inspected by the Subcommittee in September," the official wrote.
As previously reported, on May 25, the delegation of the UN Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture suspended its visit to Ukraine over SBU's refusal to grant the SPT access to some detention facilities in various regions of the country. According to the Ministry of Justice, the delegation was denied access to the SBU's departments in Mariupol and Kramatorsk as it included a Russian citizen.
