Three Russian Army servicemen were killed, eight received injuries in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in the east of Ukraine yesterday.

This was announced by the press center of the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.

"During the [past] day, the enemy's losses counted three persons killed, eight wounded from the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade (Horlivka) and the 9th separate assault motorized rifle regiment of marines (Novoazovsk) of the 1st army corps (Donetsk) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade (Debaltseve) of the 2nd army corps (Luhansk) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the message reads.

The most significant losses were incurred by the 9th separate assault motorized rifle regiment of marines (Novoazovsk) of the 1st army corps (Donetsk), the units of which were attempting to conduct sabotage and reconnaissance activities near Shyrokyne and Talakivka, the MID noted.

Earlier, Ukraine's General Staff of the Armed Forces informed that Ukrainian soldiers repulsed an attack of an enemy recon and sabotage group near Troitske last night. One Russian soldier was killed, and two commanding officers of the Russian occupation troops have been detained.
