 Aid from NATO will allow Ukraine adapting defense sector to Alliance's standards by 2020, - Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has announced that complex aid by NATO for Ukraine should be implemented by 2020.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, the president said this making a joint statement with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Kyiv on Monday.

"Decisive acts of our partners have helped developing a document stipulating for access to as many aid packages at many directions as we are able to implement as practical reforms, which we have to finish, according to our Strategic Defense Bulletin, in 2020, and to fully adapt the defense sector and the security sector to NATO standards," he said.

As reported earlier, Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze announced that Ukraine was getting to the next level of relations with NATO.
