"It was a group of conspirators. Acting Minister of Health Vasylyshyn, who previously headed Oleksandrivska hospital, introduced native of Donetsk Yurii P. Serniak, 1962, to the hospital staff. He was appointed director of hospital's urological center and tasked to personally assign surgeries to surgeons who extorted money from patients for each of the surgeries and gave it to Serniak. Serniak accumulated these funds and, in fact, the deputy minister received 50,000 to 100,000 hryvnia a week only from this center," Lutsenko explained.

As previously reported, Deputy Minister of Health Roman Vasylyshyn was detained last night while accepting a bribe. Following the detention, the prosecutor's office started investigative activities in the Ministry of Health.
