 Ukraine anticipates new non-lethal supplies from US, - Ambassador Chalyi

The United States will provide Ukraine with a new batch of counter-battery radars, drones, and secure communication means.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Valerii Chalyi said on air of Radio Svoboda, Censor.NET reports.

He did not specify the delivery dates.

"Another batches [of counter-battery radars - ed.] are to follow. I will not tell you the dates, but the aid will include unmanned aerial vehicles, secure communication means, and modern defense equipment, which combined with our lethal weapons will increase the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces," he said.

Chalyi also noted that the U.S. 2016 budget provides for the largest amount of aid to Ukraine in the history.

"It's more than $600 million, of which $330 million are allocated for security and defense needs, and $50 million - for lethal weapons, which is not approved by the White House, but it's nevertheless possible," he noted.
