 Russian contingent at Ukraine's borders may exceed 70,000 soldiers by 2018, - Skibitskyi

Militants' two army corps in the Donbas make 35,000 people. In addition, 7,000 Russian military are currently deployed in Ukraine's occupied territory.

MoD Intelligence representative Vadym Skibitskyi said on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"At present, three new divisions are being deployed at the borders of our state. In the occupied territory of Ukraine's Luhansk and Donetsk regions, two Russian army corps are stationed - 35,000 people. 7,000 Russian military are also deployed there," Skibitskyi said.

Intelligence indicates the Russian contingent at the borders of Ukraine may exceed 70,000 soldiers by 2018.

"The troops at the border, according to our reckoning, will make a 70,000-strong force," Defense Intelligence representative noted.
