 Pro-Russian militants opened fire upon Ukrainian positions 61 times yesterday, used 122-mm artillery at Donetsk and Mariupol directions, - Staff

Russian occupation forces opened fire 61 times against Ukrainian Army positions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area yesterday.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in its report as at 6 a.m. July 4, posted on Facebook.

According to the Staff, 38 cases of shelling were conducted at Donetsk direction, 20 at Mariupol direction, and three at Luhansk direction.

"At Donetsk direction, fire of 122-mm artillery covered Ukrainian strong points in Pisky and Zaitseve. Minsk-banned 120-mm mortars were used by the enemy to hit Avdiivka and Novhorodske. Grenade launchers sprayed our positions in Marinka, Luhansk, Pisky, and Troitske," the message reads.

It is also reported that the enemy did not cease its armed provocations at Mariupol direction.

"It was the hottest in Shyrokyne. Here, Russian occupants were using 122-mm artillery, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. Also, mortars of 120-mm caliber were used by the enemy to fire at Vodiane and Krasnohorivka."

"In the Luhansk region, the enemy fired upon our defenders near Novooleksandrivka and Novotoshkivske from small arms," the ATO press center informed.
