"Urgent issues, such as development of the Naval infrastructure and solving of social problems of servicemen and their families, remain priority," he announced.
"This year, 100 million hryvnia ($4 million - ed.) have been allocated to build the headquarters of the Naval Forces of Ukraine. Modernization of the fleet, including Sahaidachnyi frigate, has been planned. Two armored artillery small boats completed the fleet; four more are in the process of construction. And this is only the beginning. We have a lot of work on reconstruction and further construction of the fleet ahead," Poltorak said.
"I am sure that the Naval Forces, consistently implementing reforms and learning the naval standards of the world's leading countries, will raise the level of combat capability and professional skills. Ukraine was, is and will be a sea state!" the address reads.
