 Militants shell Ukrainian positions from heavy mortars, 152-mm artillery, and AA-mounts: 58 cases registered yesterday, - Staff

Russian occupation troops continue shelling positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in the east of Ukraine.

As informed by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in its report as at 6 a.m. July 1, posted on Facebook.

According to the Staff, 58 cases of fire by the enemy were recorded yesterday, including 34 at Donetsk, 17 at Mariupol, and seven at Luhansk direction.

It is noted that at Donetsk direction, the enemy was conducting fire from small arms and grenade launchers upon Ukrainian troops near Avdiivka, Verkhniotoretske, Novhorodske, Maiorsk and Zaitseve.

"Using 120-mm mortars, the occupants fired upon our defenses in Troitske and Luhanske. In addition, the enemy made 15 shots from 152-mm artillery in Luhanske."

It is also reported that at Mariupol direction, the enemy fire from 82-mm mortars covered positions of Ukrainian troops in Berezove, Novotroitske, and Krasnohorivka.

In the Luhansk region, pro-Russian militants chaotically shelled positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 122-mm artillery in Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka, and used an AA-mount in Krymske.

As reported earlier, militants conducted a record number of cases of shelling in the Luhansk region between 3 p.m. June 29 and 3 a.m. June 30.
