The situation in the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) is restless. Overall, 17 attacks on Ukrainian army positions have been registered during the past 24 hours, nine of them at Donetsk, six at Luhansk, and two at Mariupol direction.

Censor.NET reports referring to the ATO press center.

"At Donetsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers near Avdiivka came under small arms and grenade launcher attack followed by 82-mm mortar fire.

"Our positions near Troitske were hit with RPGs and 122-mm self-propelled howitzers, while automatic grenade launchers and IFVs were employed against Ukrainian strongholds outside Novhorodske and Opytne.

"It was also restless in the vicinity of Luhanske where militants used heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, IFVs, and heavy mortars.

"At Luhansk direction, five indirect attacks on our positions near Krymske, Novozvanivka, and Novooleksandrivka were recorded as terrorists used 82-mm mortars and 122-mm artillery seeking to provoke our soldiers to fire in response.

"At Mariupol direction, ATO forces near Novohryhorivka and Starohnativka came under IFV fire," the evening report notes.
