Information about Ukrainian troops' offensive near Debaltseve, Vuhlehirsk not true, - ATO speaker Lysenko

Presidential Administration speaker on anti-terrorist operation (ATO) matters Andrii Lysenko denied information about an alleged offensive of Ukrainian troops intended to recapture Debaltseve and Vuhlehirsk (the Donetsk region) that appeared in Russian media.

As reported by Censor.NET, he said it in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Wednesday.

"I'll answer to those messages with a Russian saying - fear sees danger everywhere. This information is completely absurd and not true. ATO forces are in their positions," he said.

Lysenko called such reports provocation and recalled that Ukraine strictly adheres to the Minsk agreements.

He also expressed a request not to trust such information. "At all times, occupants never lived and slept quietly," the speaker noted.
