Izamil mayor Andrii Abramchenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Today, we got the test results of water samples taken from municipal wells, from which water is supplied to the city. No viruses were detected," he wrote.
"That's why we will deliver the water in the barrels to the city's districts this afternoon. It is necessary to boil the water [prior to consuming - ed.]," the mayor wrote.
"Within a few days we will get test results for the water from water supply network. Before that, the water is suitable for human consumption only after boiling," the mayor wrote.
According to him, Deputy Health Minister Viktor Shafranskyi and Deputy Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Sviatoslav Protas visited the city of Izmail.
"Sviatoslav Protas confirmed that the emergency situation will be canceled on June 28, after the commission checks all catering facilities and markets in order to localize the infection," Abramchenko wrote.
Earlier, 720 people (including 417 children) have already asked for medical help in Izmail city hospitals since June 16. As of 7 a.m., June 26, 154 people (including 108 children) remain in Izmail hospitals.
