 55 militants’ attacks reported yesterday. Militants fired from grenade launchers, mortars and SP guns, - ATO press service

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area remains tense. It was reported about 55 militants’ attacks at Ukrainian soldiers over the past 24 hours (25 - in the Donetsk sector; 19 – in the Mariupol sector; six - in the Luhansk sector; five – in different directions).

The Donetsk sector was the hottest spot, where the terrorists shelled Avdiivka, Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Kirove, and Leninske strongholds from automatic grenade launchers, mortars of various calibers, and SP guns. Opytne, Novoselivka-2 and Novhorodske were mortared. The militants fired at the ATO forces' positions about 230 shells.

In the Mariupol sector, the pro-Russian militants fired at Novotroitske, Berezove, Bohdanivka, Talakivka and Shyrokyne from machine guns and grenade launchers, while Marinka and Taramchuk positions were shelled with 82-mm mortars.

In the Luhansk sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions at Zolote and Popasna were fired from small arms, heavy machine guns, and anti-aircraft guns. Novozvanivka was mortared as well.
