As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine TV channel, this was stated by 'leader' of militants Alexander Zakharchenko.
"Either Ukraine will pass a law on local elections before July 14, 2016, which will suit us, or it will not. This law must necessarily be agreed with the representatives of the Donbas. If such a law is not adopted, we will take the decision to hold local elections independently," he said.
The militants' leader did not rule out that the elections in the occupied areas of the Donbas would be held in 2016.
"But I doubt that Ukraine will pass the law on local elections in the Donbas coordinated with us [before] July 14," Zakharchenko underlined.
It should be reminded that the elections in the occupied Donbas are envisaged by the Minsk agreements.
