Yanukovych's ex-adviser Paul Manafort to lead Trump's presidential campaign, - Bloomberg

After weeks of missteps and falling polls, U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump announced the departure of Corey Lewandowski as campaign manager.

Paul Manafort has been chosen as new campaign chairman, Censor.NET reports citing Bloomberg.

As reported, Lewandowski had been with Trump since the start of his campaign and has been an increasingly divisive figure on the campaign trail, sparring with reporters and fellow Trump operatives, including campaign strategist Paul Manafort. For months, Ivanka and Trump's other adult children expressed deep skepticism of Lewandowski's managerial style.

According to two people familiar with the campaign, Trump made the decision after both Manafort and Lewandowski urged him over the weekend to pick one of them to lead the campaign, Bloomberg notes.

Paul Manafort is known for his work with many odious world politicians. For example, he was an adviser to fugitive Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
