 Ex-Navy Deputy Commander Yelisieiev to be questioned on suspicion of treason, desertion, terrorism

The Military Prosecutor's Office of the Southern region summons former Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Serhii Yelisieiev for questioning.

As reported by Censor.NET referring to PGO's press service, Yelisieiev is suspected of committing crimes under part 3, article 110 (infringement of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), part 1, article 111 (treason), part 1, article 408 (desertion), part 2, article 28 and part 1, article 258-3 (favoring activities of a terrorist organization), part 2, article 28 and part 2, article 437 (waging aggressive war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The suspect is to be questioned on June 24 under relevant criminal proceedings by an investigator for particularly important cases.

As previously reported, after changing sides, Serhii Yelisieiev was appointed deputy commander of the Baltic Fleet on combat training and then - deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet - Head of the Sevastopol garrison.
