 Russian terrorists committed 31 attacks yesterday, fired 150 rounds at strong points near Krasnohorivka, - Staff

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area was tense over the past 24 hours. The Russian occupation forces kept shelling the Ukrainian troops’ positions with weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO Staff press center as at 6 a.m. on June 20.

According to the Staff, the illegal armed groups assaulted the ATO forces' strongholds 31 times over the past day, including 14 attacks at the Donetsk, 11 at the Mariupol, and six at the Luhansk section of the front.

"Strongholds near Krasnohorivka at the Mariupol section of the front came under fiercest attacks as the enemy employed 82-mm and 120-mm mortars, tanks and 152-mm artillery against them from the temporarily occupied Staromykhailivka, having fired more than 150 rounds between 9 p.m. and midnight.

"Positions in the vicinity of Marinka were shelled with automatic grenade launchers while the strongholds on the outskirts of Hnutove, Talakivka and Shyrokyne were fired at with small arms," the report reads.

It was also noted that strong points near Putylivska (Butivka) mine at the Donetsk section of the front were shelled with 82-mm mortars while the positions not far from Zaitseve and Avdiivka with 120-mm ones. The Russian occupants also assaulted the Ukrainian soldiers ' fortified positions near Maiorsk and Luhanske, using small arms, machine guns, and grenade launchers.

"At the Luhansk section of the front, the strongholds on the outskirts of Popasna and Novooleksandrivka came under fire with grenade launchers of various systems, while positions near Novozvanivka were mortared.

"The Ukrainian soldiers opened fire in response several times," the ATO Staff press center added.
