Last night in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area was tense. It was reported about 44 militants’ attacks at Ukrainian soldiers over the past 24 hours (19 in the Donetsk sector, 19 in the Mariupol sector, and six in the Luhansk sector).

According to the report, Krasnohorivka was the hottest spot in the Mariupol sector, where militants fired at Ukrainian strongholds from 82- mm and 120-mm mortars (four times) and tanks (twice), violating the Minsk agreements.

Talakivka, Shyrokyne, Lebedynske strongholds were mortared, while Vodiane and Marinka strongholds were fired from machine guns and grenade launchers.

In the Donetsk sector, the terrorists fired at Zaitseve, Novhorodske and Avdiivka from various weapons. Moreover, Ukrainian strongholds at Avdiivka, Nevelske, Putylivka mine (Butovka) were shelled with mortars of various caliber by the pro-Russian militants. The militants also fired from a 122-mm SP gun near Nevelske around midnight.

According to the Staff, the ATO forces in the Luhansk sector were fired from anti-aircraft guns and mortars near Novozvanivka, while Popasna and Novooleksandrivka strongholds were fired from machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems.

In some cases, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to fire back.
