City authorities have deployed a hospital in one of the city's schools, Andrii Abramchenko, Izmail mayor said on 112 TV Channel, Censor.NET reports.
There is enough medicine and medical equipment in the city, he said.
"The source of infection has not been detected so far. Water showed a "good" result; it is clean. However, we have increased the chlorine content," he said, explaining that monthly rainfall was reported yesterday, which resulted in raising of groundwater and flooding of the residents' toilets.
"All restaurants, bars, trade facilities, and markets are closed today. All water bodies with standing water are guarded," Abramchenko said. He added that utility workers go door-to-door to disinfect the toilets.
