"Suddenly, someone did not see Onyshchenko's split-up scheme (for 2.9 billion hryvnia), which has been published by NABU today (June 17 - ed.). Roman Nasirov, and how did it happen that you did not see the fictitious companies? Can you explain it to such a naive person as me?" Shabunin stressed.
NABU raided MP Onyshchenko's chamber on June 15. NABU head Artem Sytnyk explained that 37 searches in three towns were carried out under the case into the underpriced sale of the natural gas under joint operation agreements with Ukrhazvydobuvannia PJSC. Ten persons were detained. The state suffered almost 3 billion hryvnia losses. Investigation of a theft on a large scale and creation of a criminal organization is underway. Investigators suspect that it is headed by Onyshchenko.
On June 16, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko has drafted a motion requesting the Verkhovna Rada's consent to criminal prosecution, detention and pretrial confinement of lawmaker Oleksandr Onyshchenko. Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Nazar Kholodnytskyi brought the commitment warrant for Onyshchenko to the parliament.
